Advisory Board Bio – Chantal Aybar

Chantal Aybar serves as vice president and commercial relationship manager for the Metro Orlando market consisting of Orange, Osceola, Seminole, and Lake Counties for Truist Financial Corporation (formerly BB&T).  Aybar consults with middle market businesses within the commercial and industrial sector, through assisting with raising capital, streamlining cash flow, drafting business succession plans, managing risk, and structuring and enhancing employee benefits.

Aybar began her financial career in 2015 when she was selected for BB&T’s 6-month Leadership Development Program, a top-rated corporate training program.  Upon graduating, she was placed in Orlando, Florida where she has been responsible for providing support to clients in the commercial banking segment. She has held the roles of commercial credit specialist, commercial underwriter, and relationship manager in the Central Florida region.

Aybar attended the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Financial Economics and a minor in Art History. Her professional development includes the Orlando Economic Partnership’s Leadership Orlando and ATHENA NextGen, a professional development program crafted specifically for emerging women leaders. She is a member of YP:Next (formerly YPAC), a professional development program designed to support regional efforts to attract and retain today’s top talent.

Aybar is originally from Columbus, Ohio, but grew up in the Dominican Republic. In her spare time she likes to play tennis; she is a member of the United States Tennis Association (USTA) and the Central Florida Working Women’s Tennis League (CFWWTL). Additionally, she loves exploring new dining and entertainment options in town while documenting it on her Instagram account @LetsTryThis_Orlando.
