National Training Center

The National Training Center is a 300-acre sports, health, fitness and education campus which is unique not only throughout the state of Florida, but also throughout the world. The NTC unites world-class sports and athletic facilities with a hospital, medical office buildings, community college and four-year University. A full array of physicians, medical specialists, nurses, athletic trainers, physical therapists, exercise physiologists, exercise specialists, personal trainers, coaches, and instructors create a winning team for the individuals who work-out and train here.

Hickory Point Recreational Facility & Beach Sand Volleyball Complex

Hickory Point Recreational Facility is ranked as one of the premier multi-sport facilities in the Southeast. The park itself has 34 boat slips, 12 boat ramps, a two-story screened pavilion, outdoor showers, playground, hiking trails and free on-site parking.

In addition, the Mike Stone Soccer Complex and Hickory Point Beach Sand Volleyball Complex reside at the park, with the Mike Stone Soccer Complex consisting of five multipurpose grass fields (3 lighted), bleacher seating and bathrooms. The Hickory Point Beach Sand Volleyball Complex, which is operated by the Florida Section of USA Volleyball, features 21 professional-grade lighted beach sand volleyball courts, professional grade net systems, speakers, and an intercom system for the purpose of hosting beach volleyball, soccer, rugby, and other sand-specific activities and events.

In February of 2019, the Hickory Point Athletic Center opened adjacent to the beach volleyball complex. This 4,000 sq. ft. building features men's and women's locker rooms, an officials locker room, athletic training room, four meeting rooms, concession stands, public restrooms, and a covered pavilion.

Clermont Boathouse

Clermont Boathouse, located in Waterfront Park is part of Clermont’s active downtown waterfront district. This new 5,000 square foot facility is nestled on the shore of Lake Minneola, part of a chain of lakes and one of more than 2,000 lakes in Lake County. Headquarters of the Lake County Rowing (LCRA), the boat ramp is conveniently located on rowing club property, offering easy launch access and ample trailer parking. LCRA also offers a covered erg and free weight area with a dozen Concept 2 ergs.

The Big House

The Big House is a brand new multi-use sports complex built by former MLB Major Leaguer Chet Lemon, and his wife, Gigi, in Tavares. Currently, The Big House plays host to many AAU basketball and volleyball tournaments, including all the “Juice Volleyball” tournaments. Future plans for The Big House include a running track, a major-league-sized infield with batting cages and pitching mounds, a fitness center with memberships open to the public, a 100-seat theater, a salon, and a car detail shop.

Lake Louisa State Park

A short drive from Orlando, this park is noted for its six beautiful lakes, rolling hills, and scenic landscapes. Lake Louisa is the largest in a chain of 13 lakes connected by Palatlakaha River, which is designated as an Outstanding Florida Waterway. Lake Louisa, Dixie Lake, and Hammond Lake, the park’s most accessible lakes, provide access for fishing, canoeing, and kayaking. Anglers can fish in four of the park’s six lakes, but gasoline-powered boats are not allowed; only boats powered by trolling motors or without motors are permitted. Camping facilities and more than 15 miles of horse trails are available for equestrians. For hikers and backpackers, the park has over 20 miles of hiking trails with excellent opportunities for wildlife viewing. Dixie Lake has a fishing pier, canoe/kayak launch, and a picnic pavilion. The park also has a full-facility campground, fully furnished cabins for rent, and primitive campsites.
