Sr. Administrator of Athletics and Wellness Services, Orange County Public Schools

Lonnie Flores is originally from Tecumseh, MI. Upon graduation of High School, he served 22 years active duty in the United States Marine Corps. He is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University with Bachelor’s in Physical Education and Minors in Health Education and Military Science. After retiring from his military service, he returned to Eastern Michigan University and obtained his Master’s degree in Educational Leadership.

 

Flores has worked for the School District of Osceola County for four years as a school Director of Athletics, the majority at Tohopekaliga High School, where he opened the sports programs for the new High School. He then worked at Liberty High School in Osceola County, where he also served as Director of Athletics. Flores then moved into the Sr. Administrator of Athletics and Wellness Services role for Orange County Public Schools in the Fall of 2022, where he currently oversees the middle school and high school athletic programs. He also acts as the Title IX coordinator and oversees school-based clubs, Athletic Trainers and Junior ROTC.

 

Flores has also served as a speaker and instructor for the Florida Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association.
