Advisory Board Bio – Jamie Barati

Jamie is a Senior Vice President, specializing in occupant-driven office transactions.  He joined JLL in December 2018 and brings with him 30-years of extensive experience in the Office & Medical Tenant Representation and Agency leasing practices, along with occupant-driven Office and Medical sales transactions.

Having been born and raised in Orlando, Jamie began his commercial real estate career here in 1993 after graduating from Florida State University.  He spent 19-years with Colliers International as a Managing Director/Principal in their Orlando office.  Most recently, Jamie was co-founder, Managing Director, and Principal with Cite Partners which operated from early 2014 through 2018 where he was responsible for the development and growth of the Central Florida Office Team.  Throughout his career, Jamie has extensive experience in office & medical transaction through tenant representation and agency work in the leasing side of the business, along with office & medical sales of occupant-driven properties.  Jamie is well-versed in the financial analysis of office lease and sales transactions and has worked with his clients to match his skill set to meet their particular needs.

Jamie earned his Eagle Scout award in 1987 through Troop 200 here in Orlando.  He also holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Finance from Florida State University.  He holds the designations of SIOR (Society of Industrial and Office Realtors) and CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member), two of Commercial Real Estate’s highest and well-respected designations.   Jamie is active locally in many civic organizations including: a mayoral-appointed position on Orlando’s Downtown Development Board, serving as Board Chairman in 2021/2022; past-President of the Downtown Orlando Partnership; former member of the Board of Directors of the Downtown Orlando YMCA; past-President, and long-time member of the Board of Directors, volunteer, and coach for the Delaney Park Little League; past Board of Directors member of the Downtown Arts District; Past President of the Boone High School Athletic Association and current Board Member; current member of the Board of Directors of the Jason Beaird Memorial Foundation; and founding member of the Downtown Orlando Foundation; among others.
