Advisory Board Bio – Spencer Pylant

Spencer Pylant is regional manager of external affairs for TECO Peoples Gas System, Florida’s largest natural gas distribution utility. He has been with TECO since May 2022 and is responsible for the Central Region of Florida, which includes Lake, Orange, Osceola, Seminole and Volusia counties.

Prior to his current role, Pylant was the vice president of government affairs for the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, where he represented South Florida business interests. Other previously held positions include communications and government relations liaison for Pasco County Schools and legislative assistant for Florida Senator John Legg.

Pylant grew up in Altamonte Springs and graduated from Lyman High School in 2007. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in political science and Master of Science in management from the University of Florida, and is a member of Florida Blue Key. He serves on the board of trustees for The Osceola Chamber and the advisory board for the Greater Orlando Sports Commission.
