General Manager, Mission Resort & Club

Cindy Staley serves as the General Manager of Mission Resort & Club where she is responsible for overseeing the hotel’s daily operations, working to guarantee guest satisfaction and foster a productive work environment. Staley develops and implements growth strategies, manages the hotel budget to optimize performance, and supervises all resort staff to ensure efficiency and positive guest experiences.

 

In her most recent role as General Manager at B Resort & Spa in The Disney Springs Resort Area, Staley significantly improved anticipated revenues for both the hotel and food & beverage programming, tripled staffing levels and developed a strong operations & revenue/sales team and led the resort through post-Covid enhancements. Because of her exceptional leadership, she was awarded the 2021 General Manager of the Year for Performance Hospitality Management.

 

Staley has held management positions in hospitality for more than 25 years, primarily with concepts in Florida, ranging from Miami to Orlando, since 1998. While serving as Hotel Manager at ​​Wyndham Harbour Island Hotel in Tampa, Staley oversaw a total of $5 million in public space, suite, and brand standard renovation, and she hosted major events such as Superbowl 2001 and the NCAA Final Four. From 2005-2015, she served as Resort Manager at The Buena Vista Palace Hotel & Spa, responsible for the daily operations of the 1,014-guestroom convention hotel with 95,000 square feet of meeting space. Here, she took lead on the coordination of a $50 million room, lobby and spa renovation. In 2015, she began her journey at The Sheraton Lake Buena Vista Resort and Spa, where she continuously surpassed anticipated revenue and improved Guest Engagement Index, working tirelessly to transcend brand standards.

 

In addition to successful resort management, Staley has assisted and participated in 8-hotel conversions, 3-openings, 7-major renovations and 2-reopenings to date. Her exceptional leadership and refined administrative skill set contribute to her status as an authoritative figure in the hospitality industry. She consistently exceeds revenue goals and guest expectations while developing inspired teams along the way.

 

Staley graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel Restaurant Management from the University of Wisconsin.
