Jordan P. Clark is a partner in the Orlando office of Shutts & Bowen LLP, where he is a member of the Government Law Practice Group.

 

With over 25 years of experience, Jordan focuses his practice on higher education in representation of both colleges and universities as well as private sector clients advising on key issues, including intercollegiate athletics, facilities and construction, state and federal regulatory compliance, public governance, public procurement, and project finance. Jordan’s practice includes NIL (name, image and likeness) policies, university revenue share, media rights agreements, sponsorship agreements, NCAA compliance and investigations, and complex commercial transactions. Jordan has industry leading expertise in conference realignment, naming rights, concession and food service, pouring rights, employment (coaches and athletic directors), location (TV & Film) and facility use agreements (FIFA, NFL, MLS, Cure Bowl, Hula Bowl), and stadium and arena suite licenses. He also has experience with capital projects, real estate development, and debt financing and has significant experience structuring and negotiating agreements related to public-private partnerships, facilities development, and institutional operations, as well as managing legal risk across enterprise-level initiatives.

 

Prior to his current role, Jordan served as chief legal counsel for a major athletics organization, with a concurrent role as associate general counsel within a large public university system. His prior law firm experience also includes corporate law, including matters related to mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, and securities law.
