Advisory Board Bio – Vinny D’Assaro

Vinny graduated from Auburn University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication and a Minor in Business Management. During his time at Auburn, he honed his skills and passion for media by working with the student-run news network, Eagle Eye. This experience laid the foundation for his career in media and communication.

Following graduation, Vinny embarked on his professional journey at WKMG, Local 6, where he supported the Sports Director. He quickly made a name for himself by hosting his own nightly segment, YO VINNY! This role allowed him to gain valuable experience in the Sports Media industry while also developing his sales acumen by running sales for a Business Process Outsourcing Company in the legal and medical fields.

In the mid-2010s, Vinny's career took a significant turn when he was recruited by Career Sports and Entertainment, a national sports and entertainment firm. Here, he spearheaded the agency’s Talent Marketing and Corporate Development initiatives, showcasing his ability to blend communication with strategic business development.

The onset of the COVID-19 pandemic brought challenges but also new opportunities. Vinny was approached by Comprehensive Energy Services to lead the company’s Business Development efforts across the state. In this role, he has been instrumental in steering the company's Strategic Implementation initiatives, leveraging his extensive experience in communication and business management to drive growth and innovation.

Vinny resides in Altamonte Springs, FL, where he enjoys a fulfilling personal life with his wife, daughter, and dog. His journey reflects a blend of passion, resilience, and adaptability, and he continues to make impactful contributions in his field.
