Advisory Board Bio – Richard Barbari

Richard Barbari is a dedicated community advocate and has been serving on behalf of Addition Financial for more than eight years. He is currently the Director of Community Development, responsible for overseeing the credit union’s strategic community involvement and partnership initiatives across Central Florida, Tallahassee, and South Georgia. Richard has played an integral role in expanding Addition Financial’s partnership footprint and strengthening its presence across the region.

 

Appointed to lead several of the credit union’s most impactful education partnerships, Barbari oversees collaborations with Orange County Public Schools (OCPS), Seminole County Public Schools (SCPS), Osceola School District, Volusia School District, Lake County Schools, Leon County Schools, the University of Central Florida (UCF), Seminole State College, and Valencia College.

 

He currently serves on several boards, including Junior Achievement of Central Florida, the Foundation for Orange County Public Schools, the Orange Technical College Advisory Board, and Career Solutions.

 

Since stepping into his leadership role with the Community Development team, Richard has also supported and strengthened Addition Financial’s Preferred Financial Institution partnership with UCF Athletics, helping deepen the credit union’s engagement with the UCF community.

 

In addition to his professional service, Richard is deeply committed to advancing financial wellness and access to education. His passion for community impact continues to drive his work, focusing on improving the lives of Addition Financial’s members, partners, and the broader region through innovative financial education initiatives.

 

Richard currently resides in Orlando and remains actively involved in supporting community organizations and educational partners.
