Advisory Board Bio – George Manias

George Manias, Founder, President & CEO of the emerging sports marketing agency, GemCo Sports & Entertainment, has been appointed to serve as President & Chief Operating Officer, for Orlando’s brand-new professional sports franchise, the Orlando Valkyries of the Pro Volleyball Federation. Manias oversees the entire operation of the Valkyries, in addition to growing and operating his sports marketing agency, GemCo Sports & Entertainment, a consulting, and management firm that assists professional sports teams to achieve their business goals.

Before launching GemCo Sports & Entertainment and joining the Valkyries, Manias has excelled in and has been recognized for his successes leading the business side of sports for over twenty-five years. George has won championships with multiple sports franchises and has led major league organizations such as the Pittsburgh Penguins of the National Hockey League, the Cleveland Cavaliers of the National Basketball Association, and the Tampa Bay Lightning of the National Hockey League. In addition, Manias has also been at the helm of major sports marketing agencies such as Front Row Marketing Services, a Comcast-Spectacor owned agency and Legends Global Sales, owned by the Dallas Cowboys and New York Yankees.

George is a graduate of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and recently moved to Orlando, FL with his Siberian Husky, Ogie.
