GREATER ORLANDO SPORTS COMMISSION UNVEILS LIST OF 60 FINALISTS AND ANNOUNCES EVENT PARTNERS FOR 2022 SPORTYS AWARDS

60 finalists represent 36 organizations across all award categories and Chris Carmody from GrayRobinson, P.A. selected for Chairman’s Award of Excellence

Orlando, Fla. (May 12, 2022) – The Greater Orlando Sports Commission (GO Sports) has unveiled the list of 60 finalists for the 2022 SPORTYS: Greater Orlando’s Night of Champions presented by Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute. The finalists were selected by a voting committee made up of members of the GO Sports board of directors. Representing 36 different organizations throughout Greater Orlando, the finalists are listed below along with the corporate partners who are sponsoring the 12 award categories.

“Chris Carmody has served our board and our organization for more than a decade, and I am so delighted that he has been selected as the recipient of the 2022 Chairman’s Award of Excellence,” said Jason Siegel, President & CEO of the Greater Orlando Sports Commission. Past winners of the Chairman’s Award of Excellence include Bud Beucher from Mission Inn Resort & Club (2020) and Jon and Betsy Hughes from Track Shack (2021).

The 2022 SPORTYS will honor sports business professionals whose contributions and impact are vital in making Greater Orlando one of the country’s premier sports destinations. The show will air on WKMG-TV News 6 and stream online on Saturday, June 25 at 7:00 p.m with the winners being revealed during the broadcast. An in-person reception and live watch party will take place the same night at the Orlando Museum of Art with registration opening at 6:00 p.m., followed by the live watch party at 7:00 p.m. and Orlando Sports Industry post-event reception at 8:00 p.m.
