Jennifer Lastik, a native of Pittsburgh, PA, joined the Greater Orlando Sports Commission in 2007 and currently serves as Chief Operating Officer.
In this role, she oversees event logistics across a four-county region, managing business operations, the state grant program, budgets, and contracts. Lastik served as the Event Director for the 2024 U.S. Olympic Team Marathon Trials and co-authored Orlando’s bid for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. She has also managed local organizing committees for high-profile events such as the NCAA DI Men’s Basketball Championship, Copa America Centenario, WrestleMania, and the MLS All-Star Game.
Lastik was named to Sports Business Journal’s Game Changers Class of 2024, which honors women who are shaping the future of the sports industry. Her recognitions also include being named an Orlando Business Journal COO Honoree and a Women in Sports Leadership Award Honoree in 2023, as well as an Orlando Business Journal Women Who Mean Business honoree in 2021. She was recognized as Forty Under 40 by Orlando Business Journal in both 2014 and 2018. Additionally, she was inducted into the inaugural class of the Slippery Rock University Sport Management Hall of Fame and is a proud graduate of the WISE Executive Leadership Institute. She currently serves as Secretary on the Board of Directors for WISE Greater Orlando and is a Trustee for the Downtown Orlando Partnership.
Before joining the Greater Orlando Sports Commission, Lastik served as an Event Manager for Global Spectrum at the UCF Arena, where she managed a variety of events, including concerts, athletic competitions, family shows, and university graduations. Prior to that, she spent a year with Disney Sports on the 3rd Party Sales and Events team, assisting with programming and executing events at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.
She holds a B.S. in Sport Management from Slippery Rock University and an M.S. in Sport Management from West Virginia University.
