Advisory Board Bio – LaVell D. Monger

LaVell D. Monger, M.Ed., is an award-winning entrepreneur, community leader, and creative strategist recognized for his influence across Central Florida’s business, creative, and civic sectors. As Co-Owner and Director of Business Development & Community Outreach for RTW Photography—one of Central Florida’s fastest-growing creative service firms—LaVell has helped scale the company from a start-up into a regional brand serving Fortune 500 companies, government agencies, universities, and major events across the Southeast.

 

A dynamic connector and advocate for inclusive growth, LaVell leads RTW’s philanthropic and engagement initiatives, including RTW Cares, V.I.B.E.S. | The Indoor Market Experience, and Move, Nourish & Thrive wellness events. These programs reflect his passion for amplifying diverse voices, empowering entrepreneurs, and fostering vibrant communities through creativity, innovation, and collaboration.

 

Under his leadership, RTW has become a trusted partner to local governments, corporations, and cultural institutions—capturing and curating experiences that highlight Central Florida as a national hub for tourism, business, and entertainment. His work continues to elevate the region’s visibility as a destination where creativity and commerce thrive together.

 

A proud graduate of Florida Atlantic University, LaVell earned his Master of Education and is currently pursuing his Executive MBA at the University of Central Florida, focusing on leadership, organizational strategy, and business innovation.

 

LaVell made history as the first African American and youngest individual to serve as Board Chair of the St. Cloud Chamber of Commerce, where he championed business growth, regional collaboration, and community revitalization. He is also a proud member of Leadership Florida Connect Class XIII and actively contributes to boards and initiatives advancing economic development, entrepreneurship, and cultural inclusion across the region.

 

A St. Louis native and dedicated distance runner, LaVell embodies perseverance, creativity, and purpose—values that guide his leadership and inspire his mission to create lasting impact through service, storytelling, and strategic vision.
