Advisory Board Bio – Michael Briggs

Michael Briggs is the Managing Director of The Alfond Inn at Rollins, the award-winning boutique hotel in the heart of historic Winter Park, leading strategy for operational performance, sales, marketing, and revenue management across Olympia's growing portfolio of smaller independent hotels. A senior hospitality executive with a 25+ year career serving in various roles throughout New England-based hotels and resorts including managing director, general manager, resort manager, director of rooms division, and director of front office operations. With a passion for people first cultures and connecting that with the spirit of inn keeping, I have proudly managed teams at the four to five star level of service, ranging from independent groups such as Preferred Hotels and Resorts to Leading Hotels of the World, right down to family owned and operated inns and motels ... it’s all the same and I love it all! Prior to joining the Alfond Inn at Rollins, I served on several industry boards including New England Inns and Resorts Association, Hospitality Maine and Hospitality Maine Educational Foundation, and Visit Portland (DMO).
