Tourism Division Manager, Seminole County

Danny Trosset is the Tourism Division Manager for Seminole County. He was born and raised in Orlando, Florida and has been with Seminole County since 2008, previously serving as the Executive Director of Tourism and the Director of Sports Tourism before taking on his current role as theTourism Division Manager for Seminole County. As the Tourism Division Manager, Danny over sees the sports tourism efforts for Seminole County to maximize economic impact generated by sports tournaments and events. Last year under Danny’s leadership, the Seminole County sports tourism team hosted over 90 different sporting events that generated over 64 million dollars in economic impact for Seminole County.

 

Danny has been instrumental in growing and expanding the County’s sports tourism initiatives by developing strategic partnerships with various event organizations including the Greater Orlando Sports Commission that bring a substantial economic impact to Seminole County. Danny is married to his wife Amanda, and they have three children. Outside of bringing in sports tournaments and spending time with his family, Danny also runs a non-profit organization called Sports 4 The Kids whose mission is to provide financially disadvantaged youth throughout Central Florida with the opportunity to participate in local sports programs. Danny strongly believes that every kid should have the opportunity to participate in sports. Since the organization was founded Danny and his team has helped provide over 2,000 kids with sports scholarships and sports equipment so they can participate in local sports programs.
