
Chevalier Lovett proudly serves as the Founder & President of Lovett Performance & Strategies; a consulting firm dedicated to improving the performance of non-profits through high level organizational development techniques including Marketing & Communications, Community Engagement, Resource Development, Talent & Equity, Operations and Government & Advocacy. Born and raised on the historic West Side of Winter Park, FL-Chevalier has spent more than 15+ years in senior leadership positions in local & national roles within the nonprofit sector which includes positions with the YMCA, City Year and most recently as the Chief Operating Officer for Florida Rising and as the Chief Impact & Advocacy Officer with 26 Health. A first-generation college graduate, he has done academic studies at several notable institutions. He is also a proud graduate of the Orange County Public Schools system.
Chevalier is very active in the community and has served on several notable local, state and national boards & committees which currently includes: the Contigo Fund, Hope CommUnityCenter, as the Chair for the Nominating Board for the City of Orlando, on the Board of Trustees of the Winter Park Public Library, as an Executive Board Member and Community Engagement Vice Chair for Habitat for Humanity of Greater Orlando & Osceola County, Poverty Solutions Group, Opera America’s Racial Justice national committee & National Trustees Committee and a Committee Panelist for the National Endowment for the Arts. Recently, Chevalier has been appointed to the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights Committee.
In recognition of his service to the community, he was named 2020's Most Influential by Winter Park Magazine and he was also named as a finalist in Best of 2021, Best of 2022 and Best of 2024 in several categories with Orlando Weekly’s Magazine annual recognitions awards (Best Local Big Shot Who’s Not an Elected Official, Best Local Leader During the Pandemic and Best Local Influencer,). In 2023, he was named the Diversity Game Changer by the Orlando Magic & Florida Blue. Chevalier was recognized by Orlando Business Journal in 2024 as a 40-Under-40 leader. And most recently, he was also honored as the 2024 Most Remarkable by Watermark Magazine.
Chevalier believes his existence is to be a voice and to fight alongside & with marginalized communities. Particularly those that come from low-income BIPOC communities, the LGBTQIA+ space, youth & education, young leaders and for those that are committed to the Peace Movement. He has been sought after as a speaker for his deep work in activism, DEI and organizational & leadership development.
In his free time– aside from spending time with family and his twin toddler sons– as an active musician, you can hear Chevalier in several of the classical arts spaces across the United States East Coast and as the Contemporary Worship Director for First United Church of Winter Park
