ECNL Extends Partnership with Greater Orlando Sports Commission and Seminole County, Adds New National Event to Central Florida Calendar

Two ECNL Regional League event agreements have been extended for five years and a new ECNL event has been added to Central Florida’s calendar for 2026-2030

Orlando, FL (Feb. 13, 2026) – The Greater Orlando Sports Commission (GO Sports) and Seminole County are proud to announce that the Elite Clubs National League (ECNL) will continue to bring premier youth soccer competition to Central Florida through an extended partnership that will maintain two ECNL Regional League (RL) events in Seminole County while introducing a new ECNL event to the destination beginning in December 2026.

The ECNL Girls Regional League – Florida Event and ECNL Boys Regional League – Florida Event, which each take place annually in January, have both been renewed for five years (2027-2031). In 2026, each event drew 170+ teams, more than 3,000 athletes, and hundreds of college coaches to the region for multiple days of high-level competition.

The new ECNL Girls – Florida Event will be hosted annually in December, with a five-year agreement confirmed for 2026-2030.

“Seminole County has been a home for ECNL and ECNL RL events for more than 15 years, and with the continued support of the county and all of our partners, we are incredibly excited to increase the league’s commitment to central Florida moving forward,” said ECNL President Christian Lavers. “The investment in facilities and infrastructure, and the great relationships we have with so many organizations in the area will make these events a great choice for teams in the ECNL and ECNL Regional League moving forward.”

GO Sports, Seminole County, Seminole Soccer Club and Seminole County Leisure Services have partnered together to host ECNL Girls events since 2010 and ECNL Boys events since 2017.

“Seminole County is thrilled to extend our partnership with ECNL through 2031,” said Seminole County Commission Andria Herr. “This extension, which includes the return of the Regional League Events as well as the addition of the new ECNL Girls Florida Event, will bring thousands of visitors from across the country to compete in these elite tournaments. These events provide an incredible opportunity to showcase why Seminole County is the ideal destination for sporting events. We look forward to continuing to provide ECNL and all participating teams with a first-class tournament experience.”

“We are so thankful for ECNL’s longstanding trust in Seminole County as a home for their events and are thrilled to welcome them back for at least five more years,” said Jason Siegel, President & CEO of the Greater Orlando Sports Commission. “Their continued investment in our community speaks to the quality of our facilities, our collaborative local partners, and the exceptional experience our community provides for athletes and their families. We are grateful to Seminole County, Seminole Soccer Club, Seminole County Leisure Services, and the Florida Sports Foundation for their continued partnership and commitment to hosting high-level youth sports in our region.”

The 2026 ECNL Girls Florida National Event is scheduled for December 5-7, and the 2027 Florida Regional League Events will take place on January 1-3 (Boys) and January 8-10 (Girls). For more information about ECNL and their calendar of events, visit theecnl.com
